Laser, the largest dinghy manufactures in the world, has committed to support RYA Sailability for the next three years with a variety of generous initiatives. The partnership was launched at the London Boat Show January 2006, with a donation of a brand new Laser Vago as first prize for a national raffle draw. Tickets were sold at London Boat Show and the RYA Dinghy Show for 1.00 generating over 5000 to be used to help create more opportunities for disabled people to sail.

Debbie Blachford, Manager of RYA Sailability said:  Laser have led the way in terms of corporate support, commitment and generosity. I believe this will be a very successful partnership and I look forward to working together on many projects in the future.

Other aspects of the partnership have already formed, and include a sponsorship contribution to the Challenger World Championship at Rutland Water next summer, a fundraising event and other projects are planned throughout the year.

Laser recognise that volunteers are essential for the day to day running of the charity and staff their staff are being encouraged to help out at clubs, events and regattas for two days in the year without affecting annual leave.
