The Environmental Code of Practice has been developed by the British Marine Federation supported both by the RYA and the Environment Agency to provide practical advice for marine businesses, sailing clubs and training centres.
The document provides the legal framework for compliance with the complexity of environmental legislation as well as some good practice advice for RYA affiliated clubs and training centres as well as BMF members. The Code contains the following sections:

The Code was the first initiative branded under the the RYA and BMF's environmental initiative, the Green Blue. As part of the Green Blue we have carried out a number of environmental audits on clubs and training centres and provided actions plans and advice on both compliance with the legislation as well as cost saving measures.
