Junior and Youth Sailing in Northern Ireland is managed by the Royal Yachting Association Northern Ireland (RYANI). The RYA has an office based in Belfast, which is staffed by one full time and three part time members of staff.

Regional Training and Northern Ireland Junior Squad

Regional county training for Toppers, Optimists and Laser 4.7s in Northern Ireland is organized by the RYA NI in conjunction with a number of the leading clubs. and is supported by a local regional development scheme.

Northern Ireland Youth Squad

Members of the youth squad in the Laser Radial/Standard class are selected from the RYA NI Youth Championships. The programme is funded through the Sports Council, and offers training, sports science support and event support at overseas competitions.
