RYA Awards

The Awards are given to outstanding individuals in recognition of  their commitment and services to boating and the RYA at a regional or national level.

The Francis Elkin Award

Francis Elkin was a former Chair of RYA Council and a Trustee of Sailability from its inception in 1995 until he passed away. He worked tirelessly for Sailabilty and committed his time and energy to ensuring the charity was successful. The Francis Elkin Award was created in his memory.

The Francis Elkin Award is given each year to an individual who has made a significant contribution in time, effort and personal endeavour in enabling people with disabilities to become involved in sailing.
