Racing Coach Level 2 (Keelboat)
Keelboat Racing coaching is a growing market. More and more owners are looking for help and seeing the importance of training with a qualified coach. This course should be the first port of call for all aspiring keelboat coaches.
Dates: 26th-29th September 2013 (applications opening in March/April)
Venue: Portland House, Weymouth
Price: £300 (includes accommodation and food)
Details: This 4 day course deals with the latest methods and techniques for getting the best from any yacht racing team. It uses best practices taken from our Olympic coaches and provides an unique insight into the practical and legal issues of coaching racing.
The Course will be run by the RYA team of Racing experts, lead by Mike Hart (RYA Coach Development Officer)
Criteria for the course:
- To be an active keelboat racer
- To have a passion for the sport and coaching others
- To be over 18 years old
The candidates will need to hold a valid first aid certificate and Powerboat Level 2 certificate. Successful candidates will be awarded the RYA Racing Coach Level 2 (Keelboat).
