Based: Mar Menor, Spain

Seasonal: 1 July for two months

Pro-Vela is a high performance foiling development centre, based in the Mar Menor, which has been affectionately dubbed 'sailing’s best kept secrets' and we are looking for a RYA Dinghy Instructor to join us for the summer! With over 170 square kilometres of lagoon, 350 days of sunshine and enviable wind statistics, the Mar Menor is a unique sailing venue.

 

You will be in charge of providing professional instruction to all levels whilst ensuring a safe sailing environment. All employees work as a team to offer a high level of customer service at all times- something Pro-Vela prides itself on.

Marine Society and Sea Cadets

MSSC is a friendly and focused place to work. As the governing body for Sea Cadets, we aim to give young people the best possible head start in life through nautical adventure and fun. The Sea Cadets delivers over 430,000 hours of inshore boating in five activities: dinghy sailing, paddlesport, powerboating and windsurfing across the country.

We are seeking a Manager to manage the day-to-day running of Royal Dokcs Boat Station, a thriving RYA Recognised Training Centre and British rowing accredited centre.

You will have experience of leadership and management and watersports instruction and will hold at least RYA Senior Instructor and Powerboat Instructor qualifications as a minimum.

We offer tuition and courses to NGB standards in Sailing, Canoeing/Kayaking, Powerboating, Rowing, Stand Up Paddleboarding and Raft Building to a wide variety of clients including groups and individuals with special needs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Instructing a range of water based activities dependent upon qualifications and experience
• Preparing and checking equipment and ensure it is stored appropriately at the end of each session
• Assisting other staff members with all aspects of centre operations, including equipment    maintenance, cleaning and safety provision

Person Specification:

Responsibilities of the Dinghy Instructor may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Carry out maintenance on both the safety and sailing fleet
