In a bid to increase the number of people going afloat, clubs offer hands-on opportunities to get out on the water in a variety of craft. Those who are completely new to the sport are especially welcome.

Visitors will be welcomed, provided with information about sailing, boats and sailing clubs, and given the opportunity to check out the facilities that are on offer.

The purpose of the RYA Open days listing page is to promote non profit making sailing club events aimed at increasing participation in our sport. The RYA reserves the right to refuse to publicise any open days it does not believe are in the spirit of this page. An example of this would be where an open day appears to be run for commercial gain.
