Model Constitution
In this section of the website you will be able to download a standard set of model rules for a yacht club together with guidance notes. You will also be able to download a standard set of model rules for a Class Association.
The model constitution and accompanying guidance notes have been updated to incorporate provisions to assist clubs that wish to register as Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs).
As the revised constitution incorporates CASCs we sought approval from the HMRC CASC Unit at Bootle to the constitution. We are pleased to advise that the HMRC CASC Unit has confirmed that the model constitution together with the accompanying guidance notes are acceptable to the Unit, provided they are correctly completed, for CASC purposes.
Do bear in mind that the governing document itself provides only part of the examination process, the CASC Unit also looks at the information contained on the CASC application form and in the accounts. An application may be refused as a result of enquiries arising from information contained in either of these documents.
