Activate your fleet 

The primary aim of the Activate Your Fleet project is to develop participation through promoting new and existing ideas and initiatives and to share good practise with clubs and class associations.

There are a huge range of classes spread throughout the boat parks of clubs all over the country. We recognise that there are some very successful fleets out there, but that in turn there are also those boats that have not moved for years. We truly believe that there has never been a better time to enthuse sailors to dust off their boat covers and get back into sailing on a regular basis and we are here to help in achieving that aim.

The success of many fleets within clubs is regularly down to one key person, a person that has the drive and enthusiasm to motivate their sailors and encourage activity, that person is often the fleet/class captain. This information pack is primarily aimed at the fleet/class captain although we hope that the content will also prove useful as a guide to clubs wishing to develop this role and have included resources which will support this.
