MCA Code of Practice Certification
The RYA is one of the MCA Appointed Certifying Authorities for the Small Commercial Vessel and Pilot Boat Code. In this respect the RYA is able to fully certify vessels to both the Code and the Code Stability requirements provided that the vessel is less than 24m (load line) in length, carries fewer than 12 passengers and less than 1000kg of cargo and is not intended to be used for towing or lifting operations.
