Sail Numbers

Sail numbers are an important way of uniquely identifying a yacht for a variety of purposes. They are a requirement for racing, and could be critical in a search and rescue situation. For these reasons, we recommend that all yachts have a unique sail number.

You can request a sail number to be issued to your boat online.  Sail numbers are issued sequentially and payment can be made online. Allocations cost £25 to non-members, £15 to members and are FREE to Gold members/ Please see the terms and conditions below.

Please note that this service allocates the sail number to a vessel only, and does not include the actual sail numbers to apply to the sails.  These must be purchased  from a chandlery or sail-maker, and their application should conform to the physical specifications advised to you with your allocation.
