Day 5 Morning Preview:
It’s the turn of Luke Patience and Stuart Bithell to get their 470 Men’s London 2012 campaign underway today and the boys have had a very special good luck message from royalty……
HRH The Princess Royal is patron of the The Royal Northern and Clyde YC and they have received a letter from HRH’s Private Secretary passing on her good wishes to Luke and Stuart and the rest of the team, a copy of which has been sent on to Luke.
It’s a busy old day at Weymouth and Portland with seven of the 10 classes in action. After their rest day Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson (Star) and Ben Ainslie (Finn) return to action.
Meanwhile the RS:X Men and Women should get their fifth (and sixth!) races under their belts today meaning that they are able to discard their worst score the regatta so far. The Lasers and Laser Radials are enjoying their rest day today.
