Following on from a successful first year in 2016, the British Keelboat League has expanded bringing the exciting, high-speed format to new venues and providing even more opportunities to take part. As a club, this is the perfect way of showing other clubs just how competitive you are.

The events involve short races of up to 15 minutes with Umpires on the water to ensure any rules issues are dealt with swiftly and fairly allowing sailors more time to enjoy the sailing and the social activities. Each host club provides the keelboats so all teams have to do is turn up and sail. On top of all of this they even include a club supper on the Saturday evening.

With this year’s League having qualifiers in all corners of the UK every club will have the opportunity to take part and compete for a place in the National final.

If you want to show your clubs racing prowess or if you want to give your younger members ownership of a project then this is the series for you. More details can be found at www.rya.org.uk/go/keelboat.
