April was a busy month for courses, with lots of newly qualified coaches going back into their clubs eager to put into practice what they had learnt.
“The course was set at the correct level taking into account the candidates skills as a group. A strong level of supportive challenge was offered both theoretical and practically focused giving the opportunity to test, practice and evaluate our experiences. A positive learning experience!”

Top Coaching Tip
“When practicing starts I almost never use the rib as one end of the line, instead I lay two marks. You can then move around to see and video from different angles and talk to a sailor without spoiling the start. The rib can be positioned at either end as required and you are free to follow the boats up the beat leaving a finish line and subsequent start line in place” James Farrell – RYA Race Coach Tutor
