2012 Olympics; your chance to be there
For the first time sailing will be a ticketed event at the 2012 Olympics, so don’t miss your opportunity to watch, cheer on, and support the British Sailing Team.
Tickets will go on sale on the 15 March 2011 for a six week period and are only available via LOCOG on the London 2012 website. Tickets are available at a wide range of prices starting at £20. There are also special prices for young people and seniors across all the Olympic sports.
You can register your interest for tickets now at www.tickets.london2012.com. The RYA will not be selling any tickets.
You can start planning your visit by looking at the sailing schedule that can be found on the LOCOG website.
Tickets for the Paralympic Games tickets will go on sale on Friday 9 September 2011, with further details of the application process for Paralympic announced later this year.
Visiting Weymouth and Portland by boat in summer 2012?
Anyone considering taking their boat to Weymouth and Portland to watch the Olympic sailing events should register their interest for berthing/and or anchoring now.
Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and the Portland Harbour Authority are encouraging anyone to complete a ‘Expression of Interest’ registration form to enable them to make available as many berth and anchoring points as possible.
Although the number and size of berths has not yet been agreed by pre-registering you will be added to the mailing list and notified when details become available.

Visiting the Thames in 2012
The London Port Authority will soon be announcing detailed plans for anyone wanting to visit the Thames by boat during the Games.
