Count down to the world's biggest dinghy show 

Less than a week to go...

There is less than a week until the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show 2010, the only show in the world dedicated exclusively to dinghy sailors and it’s not too late to get your ticket and be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes for your club.  

Taking place over the weekend of 6-7 March at Alexandra Palace, London, the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show 2010, in association with Yachts and Yachting and Suzuki really is the home of all things dinghy sailing. 

With all the boats, kit and knowledge you need whether you’re starting out or a seasoned pro; there’s something for everyone.  

With over 200 exhibitors including some 100 clubs and class associations, Alexandra Palace will be packed to the rafters with everything a dinghy sailor needs and even a few things they might not know they need!  

Alongside the hundreds of exhibitors, the boats, books, kit and  top sailors including Olympic bronze medallist Bryony Shaw and Skandia Team GBR’s Laser 2009 ISAF World Cup Champion, Nick Thompson, the show boasts a packed agenda of talks and master classes from some of the dinghy sailing world’s elite.   

Hear from Paul Larsen, pilot of Vestas SailRocket and the challenges the team faced when bidding for the sail speed record last year or get interactive at Volvo’s Towing or City Safety sessions (register at: www.dinghyshow.org.uk). 

Take a peak at the stunning ‘Blown Away’ a week in Weymouth with Skandia Team GBR photo exhibition or the GP14’s display, or how about picking up some windsurfing tips at the shows two new windsurfing coaching sessions.  

There’s plenty of entertainment for the kids to at the Sunsail Kids Zone or by taking part in the ever popular Treasure Hunt, which has some fantastic prizes up for grabs.

Tickets cost just £11.00 for adults / £9.00 for RYA members, if you book in advance.  £5.00 for children (5-16 years), free on Sunday, with children who are RYA members going free of charge all weekend.   

Tickets can also be purchased on the door for £13.00 adult and £6.50 child.
