Hikingbench and Rigtube at RYA Volvo Dinghy Show 2012
Visit stand F25
David Page Engineering Consultancy and Marine Leisure Products will once again be encouraging sailors to keep race fit with the extended Hikingbench™ range together with RIGTUBE™ which will be exhibited at the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show (3-4 March 2012, Alexandra Palace London).
Hikingbench Range
Last year David Page brought us the extended Hikingbench™ range which included the new Laser-Pro which featured a double-width seat arrangement matching the seat width of the Laser dinghy.
New for 2012 on the Laser Pro Hikingbench is the brand new toe-strap mounting, which has been developed with Skandia Team GBR’s Paul Goodison to ensure it has a real Laser feel.
“We are delighted to have worked with Paul and supplied him with a Laser-Pro Hikingbench. By adding the new tow strap mounting, we have really enhanced the feel of the bench for Laser sailors. All of our Hiking benches have been tried and purchased from many different dinghy classes from around the world. Through listening to their ideas and comments we are now very happy to be able to offer four versions”.
Rigtube
Rigtube's are designed to transport sailing dinghy rolled sails and spars and can be mounted on a car or van roof rack or secured to a trailer. The original sailing RIGTUBE is made from a tough durable black PVCu plastic tube 160 mm diameter, 3 metres long. The larger Rigtube250 is made from a special recycled light weight material 250mm diameter, 2.5 metres long.
“Rigtube is now common place in the visitor areas of many sailing events and as sailors move up through the classes they are being used to help transport rolled sails and spars for an ever growing list of boats; from Optimist, RS Tera, RS Feva, Topper, Laser, 29er, right through to the Musto Skiff” said David Page.
