Olympic windsurfer Bryony Shaw and canoeing gold medallist Etienne Stott are just two of the athletes who are encouraging the nation to get out on the water in May for National Watersports Month.

The event was officially launched at the London Boat Show yesterday (08 January) where HRH the Princess Royal met athletes and representatives from four of the leading boating and watersports organisations (RYA, BMF, BCU and British Rowing) who have joined forces to create a month-long schedule of activities.

This May canoeing, sailing, rowing, windsurfing, stand up paddleboarding, cruising and more will all be on offer from clubs, centres and marinas across England, Scotland and Wales.
