Nominate someone inspirational to carry the Paralympic Flame 

London 2012 are looking for truly inspirational people to be Torchbearers in the 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay.

  Is there anyone from your local sailing community that you would like to nominate for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? This is your chance to give them a moment to shine.  

It could be a volunteer that makes a difference in your sailing community to inspire or support disabled people, an inspirational member who has overcome adversity to achieve fantastic things, or a family member who cares for someone with disability.

Anyone can be a Paralympic Torchbearer whether they are disabled or not.

The London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay will take place from 24 – 29 August 2012. Four separate flames will be lit in London, Greater Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff before they are united to create the Paralympic Flame at Stoke Mandeville.  

You have until November 22 November 2011 to put someone forward and don’t forget you can nominate more than one person.
