Opportunity to input on review of antifouling paints in Inland Waterways

The Green Blue has commissioned a review on antifouling use in inland waterways and is calling for information relevant to the study.   

Running from April until late May the project will consider:

• The extent of antifouling use in inland waterways;
• The need for use of antifouling in inland waterways;
• The benefits of antifouling in inland waterways; and
• Ecological impacts of antifouling in inland waterways.  

Researchers, industry bodies and personnel and the general public who have any relevant information and wish to contribute to the study are invited to contact the appointed contractor, Sue Bell Ecology, an independent ecological consultancy at antifouling@suebellecology.co.uk before the end of April 2011.   

The information generated from the study will be used by The Green Blue to inform inland boaters, clubs and businesses about best practice.
