From Friday 12 to Sunday 14 Scotland’s Boat Show 2012 takes place at Kip Marina and the RYA will be there.

Not only can you visit us on our stand to find out more about what we do and how to become a member we will also be hosting our first ever Gold members event in Scotland. Invitations have gone out to all RYA Gold members inviting them to attend a special drinks reception to meet key members of RYA and RYA Scotland staff, as well as giving you the chance to enjoy a dram and learn a bit more about whisky in our special whisky tasting sessions!

So what will you find at this year’s show?

Well the organisers are confident that this year will be their biggest ever event. There will be an unrivalled selection of pre-owned boats for sale, from £500 dinghies to £1 million luxury motor yachts; the latest new boats from Hanse, Dehler, Moody, Sunseeker and many others and a huge trade marquee filled with companies exhibiting the latest trends and developments in marine products.

There will also be a huge array of leisure exhibitors who are expected to attract a record number of visitors, to what is now firmly established as the biggest boat show in Scotland and the third biggest in the UK.

And it doesn’t end there. Visitors can also view luxury motor cars from Bentley, custom built Range Rovers from Overfinch plus iconic motor cycles from West Coast Harley Davidson. Enjoy the first Country Lifestyle Exhibition in its own dedicated marquee where you can find everything from clothing and candles to a complete Farmers Market.

And if that’s not to whet your appetite the show will also be welcoming the Top Gear Experience simulator, a state of the art simulation ride where you can experience being driven round the Top Gear test track by ‘The Stig’ in a Bugatti Veyron and a Caterham 7 – not for the faint of heart!

This year’s show will be fundraising for Help for Heroes and will be donating all the takings for the show catalogue to the charity. Keeping with the military theme the West of Scotland Military Wives Choir will be performing on Sunday 14th.

The show opens each day at 10am and admission is free.
