Wind Farm Survey 

You can help ensure that wind farm developments continue to ensure the safe passage of recreational craft.

The RYA is conducting a survey on boater’s experiences of either passing through or around wind farms in the UK.

The purpose of the survey is to enable the RYA to better understand, from direct experiences, how wind farms in the UK may have affected passage plans and indeed the pleasure of the passage itself.

“The information that you can provide is really important in helping to ensure that the on-going and future development of wind farms around the UK continues to make provision for the safe passage of recreational craft” says Alana Murphy, RYA Environmental and Planning Officer.  

“The RYA is in regular contact with developers and obviously the more we know about any impact on navigation the better able we are to feed that back to developers and Government alike”.
