The UK Catamaran Racing Association (UKCRA) has brought together the leading UK catamaran classes in one big catamaran island display. Supported by a wealth of catamaran expertise that ranges from, how to start sailing cats, to the latest developments in foiling technology.
Chat with the class representatives and the dedicated UKCRA team who will be on hand to answer your questions about how and where to start, the choice of cats, cat friendly sailing clubs, where to find cat racing and any other cat related questions you have.
Cat friendly clubs
If you are a sailing club then drop by the stand to find out more about the 2016 “UKCRA Club charter program” for cats - a must for any club looking to develop a catamaran program.
The UK Catamaran Racing Association, (UKCRA) provides an informative on-line link for all cat friendly clubs to promote their catamaran racing fleets, share information, promote open meetings and events and provide links for those looking for a suitable club plus a whole lot more. Being part of the UKCRA “Cat friendly Club” program opens a door to strengthen your cat fleet launch a new class attract new active members.
The UK F16 catamaran class will also make their debut at the show with the F16 Viper taking centre stage on “Catamaran Island”.
The F16 class association uses a similar box rule to that of its larger sister class, the F18. With a few modifications that suit lighter catamaran sailors, resulting in a great power to weight performance ratio.
The F16 Viper on display is in great condition after a number of years sailing and a great buy for someone keen on double trapeze, gennaker and impressive performance.
A 2016 event program is already in place alongside the F18 class and various F16 manufactures and UK dealer’s information will be available from the class stand over the two days along with technical and class support.
