Tuesday 01 March signals the return of the RYA’s extremely popular ilovesailing calendar competition and official launch of the 2016 ilovesailing duck.

With the continued success of the ilovesailing calendar competition over the last three years, which has seen hundreds of sailing enthusiasts share their favourite sailing pictures, it seemed only fitting to run the competition again and give sailing and photography enthusiasts the chance to showcase their fantastic pictures.

Ilovesailing is once again asking sailing fans to share their favourite sailing photos and each month two lucky entrants will be picked to win a place on the 2017 ilovesailing calendar and one of the coveted 2016, ilovesailing rubber ducks, who this year is flying the Union Jack in support of the British Sailing Team as they head off to the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer.

In a slight change for 2016 two winners will be picked each month between March and July to represent a different month on the 2017 calendar, with the final to spots being selected in August from all the other entries made between March and July.

“We decided to change things slightly this year as every month we receive loads of amazing pictures and choosing just two winners always proves to be extremely difficult for the judges.  So by making this change it means all our entrants will get a second shot a winning a spot on the calendar”, commented Emma Slater, ilovesailing coordinator.
