Gus Lewis, RYA Head of Legal and Government Affairs and Stuart Carruthers, RYA Cruising Manager will be at Sussex Yacht Club on Tuesday 26 April 2016.
It’s your chance to ask questions and to hear about the range of issues the RYA is working on, including:
- The impact of offshore renewable energy on cruising
- Carriage and disposal of pyrotechnic flares
- Safety matters
- Harbour Directions
- Marine Protected Areas
Come along to an informative and entertaining evening to find out first-hand about the tireless and often unglamorous work the RYA does to represent your interests and maintain your freedom to pursue your chosen boating activities. Get an insight into the RYA’s work with Government to ensure that full account is taken of recreational boating.
Open to all
All recreational boaters in the area are invited to attend. It is not a requirement to be a member of the RYA, or a member of the club hosting the event.
The talk will start at 19:30 and the evening will conclude around 22:00. A free light snack will be provided part way through the evening.

When emailing, please include your name and the number of places you would like to reserve. If you are an RYA member please provide your RYA membership number and if you are a member of a club in the region please tell us which club.
