In front of a packed crowd, the RYA Dinghy Show presented by Suzuki in association with Yachts & Yachting and Gill was officially declared open by 2018 show hosts Double Olympic medallist Saskia Clark and Olympian Stevie Morrison.
Members of the British Sailing Team including Luke Patience, Ben Saxton, Katie Dabson, Dylan Fletcher and Stuart Bithell were also on hand to cut the ribbon and declare the show officially open.
Stevie Morrison said: “Here we are ready for another fantastic Dinghy Show! There are already lots of people here who’ve made it through the weather, there’s a great atmosphere and we can’t wait to welcome even more people through the door over the next couple of days.”
This weekend (03-04 March) Alexandra Palace, London, has been transformed into the world’s only show dedicated to dinghy sailing and the theme is #dinghysailingforlife celebrating a lifetime sport for all.
More than 150 show exhibitors, from boat builders of beautiful classics to the very latest in cutting edge design, plus kit and clothing retailers, clubs, classes, holiday companies and more are all here to ensure you and your family leave with lots of ideas for the season ahead.
There’s also a brand new line up of speakers, two new stages and heaps interactive features and activities to inspire the whole family.

On account of the recent weather conditions, if you buy your ticket online you can still take advantage of a special discount rate of £10 for RYA members and £12.50 for non-members.
Don’t forget up to four children go free with each paying adult as well. Any tickets purchased in advance can be used either Saturday or Sunday.
