Expert advice on hand at the Working with Water book launch
Ever fancied turning your passion for boating into a full time job? If the answer is yes, but you’ve never been sure how to go about it, fear not, the RYA has published a brand new book entitled Working with Water which tackles this issue and will be launched at the London Boat Show on January 16.
Written by highly respected marine journalist Jeremy Evans, Working with Water is chock full of useful tips and case studies enabling the reader to quickly map out on a career path to the job of their dreams.
Jeremy explains: “This time of year has all of us dreaming of blue waters and pastures new and the premise behind this book is to provide an ideal companion for anyone looking to get a foothold within the marine industry.
“I talked to a lot of different people with a vast range of jobs and used their experiences to put this guide together- so it doesn’t matter whether you want to be a dinghy sailing instructor in the Mediterranean, or a lock-keeper on the Caledonian Canal- this book will give you an initial steer.”
The book launch will take place at 12pm on the RYA Stand and Jeremy will be flanked by two of the Working with Water contributors in order to provide expert advice on landing that dream job within the marine industry. All visitors are welcome.
In addition to this, from Saturday 9th January to Friday 22nd January, we have several of our contributors to the book happy to answer any questions that you may have in relation to Working with Water.
