Brush Up On Your Towing Skills & Experience the Revolutionary Volvo XC60 City Safety Technology

As part of this year’s RYA Volvo Dinghy Show, Ed Stevens from the RYA will host a practical towing clinic, giving you a unique  a hands-on opportunity to improve your towing skills in the Volvo XC60, with hints and tips on how to tow your dinghy safely and effectively. The towing clinic will take place in a designated area directly outside Alexander Palace and will include theory and hands-on training in the XC60, with practical exercises such as reverse parking a dinghy in a small area.

The most common type of accident occurs at speeds below 19mph and surveys indicate that 75% of all crashes take place at these low speeds, and in 50%of cases – mainly due to distraction – the driver has not braked at all. These accidents typically happen in towns and in tailbacks of traffic.  The City Safety technology was developed in-house by Volvo and either eliminates such accidents or at least reduces the severity of the impact.
