These venues offer a range of fantastic facilities and are the perfect place to experience your first taste of sailing or windsurfing. With thousands of locations across the country there will certainly be one in your area.

Push the Boat Out

Sailing has seen huge investment by the RYA and Sport England in the last four years and many clubs have comfortable lounges, dedicated training rooms and up to date changing rooms, plus there are hundreds of boats available in clubs across the country for children and adults to learn to sail, borrow or hire.

They are open to the whole family, with children from a very young age able to sail along with their parents and then enjoy a chat in the clubhouse afterwards.

Training Centres

Your local RYA Training Centre is also a great place to start sailing or windsurfing. Once you’ve had a taster session, if you want to learn more, RYA Training Centres and many sailing clubs run courses that cater for youngsters from the age of eight upwards helping them progress from learning to sail to more advance skills and racing. There’s an equivalent set of courses for adults.
