July 21 is RYA ‘Push the Boat Out’ day when boaters across the country will take to the water to showcase sailing to the nation and show their support for our Olympic and Paralympic sailors. Some of the activities already planned include pursuit races, open days, taster sessions, mass flotillas, picnics, parties, fancy dress events and lots of fun and games.
Clubs will also be inviting their local communities to get out on the water and give sailing a try with ‘Sail for Gold have a go sessions’ as well as organising celebrations to coincide with the 2012 Torch Relay.
