Registration of interest for RYA 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Selection Trials
Registrations of interest required by 1 April 2011
In accordance with the RYA’s 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Selection Processes, sailors or crews wishing to be considered for GBR selection for the 2012 Olympic or Paralympic sailing competitions must register their interest in participating in the Trials Processes prior to Friday 1 April 2011.
Registration for inclusion in the Trials Processes is required for all 10 Olympic and all three Paralympic events:
Olympic events:
Men
Laser – one person dinghy
Finn – one person dinghy (heavyweight)
RS:X – windsurfer
470 – two person dinghy
49er – high performance dinghy
Star – keelboat
Women
Laser Radial – one person dinghy
RS:X – windsurfer
470 – two person dinghy
Elliot 6m – match racing
Paralympic events:
2.4mR – one person keelboat
SKUD 18 – two person keelboat
Sonar – three person keelboat
Registration is made on a crew rather than individual basis (save for single-handed events).
Any crew who will be eligible to compete in the 2012 Olympic/Paralympic Games representing Great Britain may apply to enter the RYA 2012 Olympic/Paralympic Selection Processes.
The RYA Olympic Selection Committee/Paralympic Selection Committee will supply a confidential copy of the RYA Selection Trials Process document to all those invited to participate in the Process.
It is the responsibility of crews to enter and, where necessary, qualify to sail at all regattas included in the Processes.
