T15 Inter-Club Notice of Race 2011
A Notice of Race (NoR) is an important document that tells you about a forthcoming event and specificies terms of eligibility. You should read and understand the NoR before attending an event.

Rules
Competition will take place under the Racing Rules of Sailing, except where amended:

Classes
Racing will take place in the following classes:
Open 3.5m
Open 4.5m
Open 5.8m
Techno 6.8m
Each class refers to the maximum sail size which can be used. Smaller sails can be used, especially in windy conditions.
Only the bic Techno OD board can be used in the Techno 6.8 class.
Any board and rig can be used in the Open 3.5m, Open 4.5m and Open 5.8m classes, although sailors are encouraged to use a Techno.
It is recommended that boards should have a daggerboard or central fin whilst board length should measure 320cm or less in the smaller sail size classes.
In the Open 3.5m class, small diameter masts & booms should ideally be used with junior sails.
Trophies
Trophies will be awarded to the top three places in each class.
A Techno Award will be presented to the first Techno sailor outside of the top three in the Open 3.5m, Open 4.5m and Open 5.8m classes.
Up to three Merit Awards may be presented at each event.
Age
If a competitor is 15 or under, he/she can enter a T15 inter-club event; that competitor is eligible to compete in all T15 inter-club events for the remainder of that season.
Entry
You may enter the T15 inter-club racing by being a member of your club's team and adhering to the terms and consitions below; maximum team size is 15.
Where a T15 club has more than 15 sailors wishing to enter, they can do so as an independent entry to gain competition experience and compete for individual class trophies. They cannot represent the club team or be part of another team; their ranking will not count towards any team score.
Individuals who do not have a local T15 club may enter the competition on an independent entry to gain competition experience and compete for individual class trophies. A place cannot be taken in another club's team or count towards the team score.
Rights to use names and likenesses
Competitors automatically grant to the organising authority without payment the right in perpetuity to make, use and show any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or filmed television of or relating to the event.
Terms and Conditions
1. Entry must be made on the day of competition.
2. The first briefing time will be 10.30am on the day.
3. The first race will not start before 11.00am.
4. There will be a maximum of 9 races.
5. Buoyancy aids must be worn.
6. All competitors must be an RYA personal member (Junior membership starts at just £5.00). You should ideally join online in advance, but can join on the day if necessary.
7. Competitors must hold valid third party insurance to a sum of £2,000,000 (free with RYA membership, when windsurfing is specified as an interest).
8. RYA Zone Windsurfing Squad Sailors
a. Any number of Zone Windsurfing Squad sailors can compete for their team.
b. Zone Windsurfing Squad sailors must identify themselves afloat with a red streamer (available at registration).
c. Zone Windsurfing Squad Sailors must use a Techno board but can compete in any sail size class, appropriate to their ability.
9. RYA National Junior Windsurfing Squad (NJWS) sailors
a. Existing NJWS sailors cannot compete.
b. Newly selected NJWS sailors can continue to participate in the year they are selected, seeing out the season for their team (including competing at the Champions Cup, should the team qualify).
