I found it very difficult to find a night-class in my area. The RYA produced a list of establishments offering the course, but when I contacted the 'schools' I was unable to find a suitable class.
Some tutors will provide the course 'in-house' duration 1-week. Also there are correspondence courses available.
Hope this helps you.
Cheers.

Try Celestial Navigation for Yachtsmen by Mary Blewitt and Celestial Navigation by Tom Cunliffe. I am using these two on a teach yourself basis and I've nearly got it (I think).

There are a number of schools that will deliver the course although demand seems to be lower than other shorebased courses. Many instructors will consider delivering this on a 1-2-1 or ad hoc basis.
The other alrternative (and to keep costs sensible) is to find two or three like minded individuals - I know of at least two (Solent based) instructors that deliver the the course over three weekends or so.
