RYA Scotland consists of approximately 12 staff members, most of them work from the sportscotland office in Edinburgh, but some are based in other parts of Scotland. As well as sailing and boating specialists we employ a team of administrative staff.

RYA SCOTLAND SAILING PATHWAY COACHING OPPORTUNITIES

29er Head Coach, 420 Head Coach, Laser Radial Head Coach & Optimist Academy Head Coach
An important part of the coaching role is to help achieve our critical success factors:
- Create fast sailors in all conditions
- To develop mentally and physically robust sailors who are resilient under the most testing conditions
- To develop excellent non-dependent decision makers
- To develop sailors that excel under the most extreme pressure
- To nurture passion, professionalism and a performance mind-set
Although self-employed you will report to the RYA Scotland High Performance Manager. The Head Coach role involves a significant number of contracted days per year; including domestic coaching, UK competition support, working with RYAS staff plan and deliver programmes to maximise sailor development and performance.
