The fourth RYA Scotland Annual Awards dinner is taking place on Saturday 28th January 2017 at the Glasgow Science Centre.

The evening is fantastic opportunity for the sailing community in Scotland to gather and celebrate just some of the achievements and the commitment of people within our sport. Without these people and many more like them our sport simply wouldn't exist.

Now in its fourth year the RYA Scotland Annual Awards recognise the commitment and achievements of the people and clubs who make our sport possible. We welcome your nomination for their contributions to sailing or boating in Scotland.

The categories are as follows:

  • Coach of the Year
  • Instructor of the Year
  • Official of the Year
  • Club of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year sponsored by Clyde Challenger
  • Young Person of the Year
  • The Elizabeth Mackay Award – for female endeavours in sailing and boating

The following awards are shortlisted by the RYA Scotland Performance Committee and winners are selected by the awards judging panel:

  • Class Academy Sailor of the Year
  • Youth Sailor of the Year
  • Performance of the Year

The judging panel for the awards will shortlist three people/clubs for each award and will also select the winners.

Nominations for the award are open to the general public with a form in the right hand column. The closing date is Monday the 31st of October 2016.

Shortlisted nominees will be invited to attend the organisation’s annual awards ceremony at the Glasgow Science Centre on 28th January 2017 where the winners will be announced.  Please refer to the nomination form on the right and return to:
