Race Officials

RYA Scotland Race Officials.

Racing is held together by Race officials. They play a vital role in organising and managing events. The RYA runs a range of training courses to suit individuals in various roles supporting local clubs as well as international classes on the world stage.

As with most sports, the development of officials is vital to ensuring that we have an effective framework of events at all levels and in all disciplines of our activities. With Scottish officials playing many key roles in the delivery of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Regattas we are well placed to utilise this expertise into developing and inspiring the next generation of officials.

The RYA looks to provide officials support and courses to people across Scotland, if you would like to know more contact the Coach Education Development Manager and courses can be arranged around clubs or regions. RYA Scotland also provide CPD and opportunities of experience in large racing events both in Scotland and across the UK.

Please contact Robin.Nicol@ryascotland.org.uk for more information if you are interested in any of the above.
