This is a hybrid role for a Dinghy Instructor and Race Coach at the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club. As a Dinghy Instructor and Race Coach, you will play a vital role in providing sailing instruction, race coaching, and mentorship to members, guests, school groups, and youth sailors.
We are looking for someone with an RYA Dinghy Instructor qualification and Race coach equivalent.
A few of the responsibilities as the Dinghy Instructor and Race Coach at DOSC:
- Provide daily dinghy sailing following National and Youth RYA Sailing schemes, ensuring RYA standards are maintained.
- Prioritize safety and instruction for guests on land and water, participating in waterfront responsibilities and customer service.
- Assist in sailing department maintenance and equipment upkeep, potentially running Powerboating courses if qualified.
- Customize race coaching for youth sailors, maintaining records, collaborating on racing curriculums, and assisting with regatta planning and execution.

· Full driving licence.
· Able to launch and recover boats.

Horizons (Plymouth) is looking for an enthusiastic RYA Senior Sailing Instructor to become a key part of our senior delivery team. They will work closely with our Operations Manager to deliver opportunities for our participants to engage in all of the RYA small boat scheme as well as powerboating and motorboating.
This role offers the chance to be part of a busy, fun and varied activity programme, working in the historic naval port of Plymouth. Although we currently only have a small team of 2 paid staff, we also have a team of 60 volunteers to help deliver our programmes. The Senior Instructor will need to be comfortable managing a team of volunteers and previous experience in working with Young People and those with additional needs would be very desirable.
