What to expect from the show in 2014?

On arrival at the show, Team Cobalt will greet you in Palm Court, to whet your adrenaline appetite.

Team Cobalt has been designed to break records by guys who are just ordinary dinghy sailors. Thought Sir Ben Ainslie's AC45 Round the Island record was fast last year? These guys want to make that look like a leisurely cruise!

Team Cobalt's Jack Gifford and Luke Yeates will explain how Team Cobalt, at just 200kg and made of carbon fibre with a honeycomb core, is taking the concept of using a small hydrofoil catamaran to tackle records previously won by larger craft.

Back by popular demand is the 'RYA Magic Marine Trapeze Rig'. Specially designed for the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show, it will give visitors the perfect opportunity to try out harnesses and test their trapezing technique under the watchful eye of Dave Hivey, RYA UK National Coach of the Feva Class Association and RYA Coaches.

If you are new to sailing, or want to get back into it then the 'Start Sailing' area in the Panorama Hall is the place to be. Here we'll be explaining how to get started, where to find sailing clubs and training centres, what courses to take and what kit is needed. What's more, there will be talks on the Suzuki Main Stage and in the Coaching Area specifically for beginners as well as an amazing competition to win a Topaz Taz boat.

We also see the return of some Dinghy Show favourites including the Holt Blow Boat Challenge, the Boat Repairs Workshops, the RS Simulator as well as the ever popular children's Treasure Hunt featuring the RYA Junior mascot 'Bob The Buoy'!
