The British Youth Sailing Team seeks a highly motivated and experienced Head Pathway Coach to shape the future of elite sailing in Britain. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the development of our next generation of champions.
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience as a high-performance coach in sailing
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of athlete development principles and best practices.
What you'll do:
- Lead the development and delivery of multi-class camps and online learning programs for BYST sailors.
- Oversees the delivery & development of the DiSE program (Diploma in Sporting Excellence).
- Support the selection process for the Youth Worlds Championships and British Youth Sailing Team.
- Lead the GBR Youth Worlds Team.
- Collaborate closely with the coaching team to lead the development of the British Youth Sailing Team App & Sailor Individual development plans.
- Deliver high-quality coaching sessions where needed, including expert workshops on topics such as decision-making, communication, and campaign planning.
The contract amounts to approximately 50 days from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026.
