Salary: £25,000 per annum pro-rata


Part Time: 3 days a week


Location:   Home Based

Could you help RYA Cymru Wales deliver high quality events to support our boating community? If you have a passion for getting out on the water and experience of planning and delivering events, this exciting part-time role could be for you! Offering flexible working from home alongside travel to venues throughout Wales and further afield, our Events Officer will work across all RYA CW activities, including performance squads and the Dragon Series, OnBoard festivals, Ffin a Ffoil and our Big Weekend for clubs and instructors.

We’re looking for someone with outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with a mindset for ‘getting the job done’. 

Your responsibilities as Event Officer will include, but are not limited to:

  • Event concept development in liaison with other RYA CW employees
  • Produce and manage a project plan for each event/series
  • Promotion and marketing of events including developing and loading digital content across our channels.
  • Ensure events have a consistent look and feel, including event logos and wider branding in promotional materials and at the venues
  • Attendance/booking and management
  • Pre-event preparation, venue bookings and liaison with providers, sponsors and other linked parties
  • On site/venue preparation and liaison with contributors (i.e. venue, session leads, caterers etc.)
  • On the day administrative support
  • Post event engagement (surveys etc)
  • Event budget management
