The Royal Yachting Association, based in Hamble, near Southampton, is the national governing body for all forms of recreational, competitive and professional boating. It represents dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sportsboats, windsurfing, inland cruising and personal watercraft.
Job Role: Lawyer
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week (we are open to discussions around flexible working and part-time hours)
Location: Hamble (hybrid working)

The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lawyer to join our newly created Legal Governance and Integrity Department. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee the legal aspects of the RYA Advisory Service, a key benefit offered to our personal and organisational members.
The post holder will be responsible for providing legal input for the RYA’s advisory service, including developing guidance, addressing questions, and conducting training. They will report to the Head of Legal, overseeing junior lawyers and external advisers, and may assist with broader RYA-related legal issues.
