Many boating activities are safe and fun – that’s how it should be, but it’s also clear that accidents can and do happen. Tragic boating events bring into focus the need for us all to consider what steps we might take and how we would manage in providing vital wellbeing assistance and support to those persons who have been directly, or perhaps even indirectly involved in traumatic situations. 

RYA Affiliated Club, Recognised Training Centre & Affiliated Organisation Insurance Broking partners Gallagher arrange cover for 85%¹ of RYA Affiliated Clubs and are pleased to advise that the Gallagher RYA endorsed Club and Recognised Training Centre Insurance policy can provide you with a support service.

Ben Bennett (RYA Account Manager, Gallagher) advises that the Gallagher product includes access to  invaluable assistance via partner insurers Zurich Insurance PLC trading as Navigators & General – providing practical and emotional support for personal, mental and emotional issues via a series of up to 5 counselling sessions on an ‘in person’ basis, or where deemed more appropriate, via telephone or video call.

The service provided is now included within the existing policy and can be accessed by those persons belonging to a Gallagher RYA policyholder (Club or Recognised Training Centre) and advice is given on a strictly confidential basis.
