Regional Junior Championships (RJC)

Regional Development Officer Steve Mitchell writes:

The RJC is now a June event (previously September) and we hope the summer-vibe will be the perfect backdrop to this great event which experiences a strong turn out from junior and youth sailors from across the region.

Never attended before? Don't worry, speak to us beforehand if you can't find the answers here then send enquires for the OnBoard Fleet to Ben Kimbell

Booking will open here

Dinghy: Alongside the main fleet and rookie fleets the OnBoard fleet will once again be supporting those sailors who are new to sailing, providing a perfect event for the beginner and a lovely weekend on the water. The OnBoard fleet has a team of instructors on hand to assist.

Windsurf: Our region has seen growing numbers at this event so if you're a windsurfer we hope to see you there. We often see young windsurfers who are either very new to racing or have never raced previously; either way you will be welcomed by the windsurfing family and will be supported on the day.

Regional instructor training programme

Please take a look at the full programme for this year and book your place.

Upcoming in June and July are Advanced Dinghy Instructor Endorsement in June and Introduction to Dinghy Senior Instructor Course and Dinghy Senior Instructor in July.

The Powerboat Instructor course at Dockland Scout Project in April was a success with six new instructors qualified.
