With Regatta season in full swing, it’s been great to be out and about seeing action on the water in the Region. 

RYA Club Membership Census

The RYA Club Membership Census is now open - many thanks to all those that have already returned their information – a plea to all clubs yet to complete the RYA Club Membership Census, please would you help us by returning your census as soon as possible and by 26 August at the latest to enable processing and the creation of the insights ahead of the Affiliated Clubs Conference later in the year. If you require any assistance in completing this please get in touch and you can find the link to complete it here

With lots of activity going on, from cadet weeks to regattas and cruising events, it’s all good to see, so please do tag in RYA East on social media (@RYAEast on Twitter and @RYAEastRegion on Facebook) so we can share your events and news. You can also use the hashtag #RYAEast.

RYA Fleets

The Regional fleets, based at Morgan Marine in Brightlingsea still have availability for this season. You can view availability on our new calendar in the RYA East web area, and contact Jen for more information (jen.miller@rya.org.uk).

RYA and Yachts & Yachting Club of the Year applications now open

Club applications are now open and close on 20 September 2019 – Blackwater Sailing Club was a finalist in 2019 and you can read more about their experiences here. For more information and to complete an application form visit: www.rya.org.uk/go/cluboftheyear

OnBoard Update

OnBoard support days for instructors are still available to OnBoard Clubs – this includes a day with an RYA Coach Assessor, both on and off the water, to inspire and inform instructors in using the latest innovations in the delivery of OnBoard sessions and leave armed with fresh and new delivery ideas! If you would be interested in hosting one of these at your club please email Holly Dabson at sdo.onboard@rya.org.uk
