Hi everyone,
It’s been great to see increasing amounts of activity on the water, and to be out and about visiting clubs once more. It’s been encouraging to hear feedback from clubs who have noted a significant uptake in membership recently. It’s likely that this will continue over the coming weeks, so thinking about how we provide learn to sail experiences and opportunities for newer members will be important. We’re also looking forward to restrictions further easing in due course, which will not only enable more activity to take place but also enable clubs to open their indoor facilities for hospitality. Planning ahead for 2021 and beyond
We are now starting to plan the content for both the Affiliated Clubs Conference and Club Development Sessions programme and we would really value your help with ideas for how we ensure these events remain useful and relevant to clubs. This is your opportunity to feed in the ideas that you have always wanted to learn more about so that you can improve the offering your club gives to its members or potential members. There is no such thing as a bad idea at this stage, together we will find the information and ideas that you are looking for. Let us know what you think!
Please save the date for this year’s British Youth Sailing Regional Junior Championships, which in 2021 is scheduled to take place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September at Grafham Water Sailing Club. This is a fantastic event for your young sailors to participate in, and a great goal to aim towards for the end of the season. We are also once again planning to hold an OnBoard fleet, so please keep a look out for further information.

RYA Volunteer Awards now open
The RYA Volunteer awards are now open, and will close on 01 April 2022. Volunteers from across the country are recognised for their exceptional dedication and achievements in boating.
