The Department for Education has released its public consultation and is inviting proposals to add activities to the GCSE, AS and A-level education activity list. We want your help to seize this opportunity.
Sailing and Windsurfing were removed in 2014 by the
Department for Education from the list of GCSE, AS-level and A-level
activities. The Department of Education’s awarding organisations made the
decision that students can not be appropriately assessed in a recreational form
of the activity. The list is based upon the level at which an activity is
suitable to assess.
We need you
The RYA challenged the Awarding Organisations’ reasoning of the suitability of activities to be included in the eligible list & need your help to support our case.
Take action now
