RYA Youth National Championships

Open to Host Venue bids

The RYA is looking for venues to host the RYA’s premier Youth Racing event in 2020 and 2021, in a Southern venue and a Northern venue, in no particular order.

The RYA Youth National Championships takes place annually during the Easter Holidays for the British Youth Sailing Recognised Youth Classes. The event is used to select the British Team for the following season’s international events, Youth Sailing World Championships and to select the UK Youth Squad for the year ahead.

With Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) confirmed to host the 2019 edition, the RYA is welcoming bids from clubs, venues, local authorities and academies who could host the event in the two years after. Bids are to be received by the RYA no later than 1200 GMT on Friday 31st August 2018. Confirmation of the successful host venues will be no later than the 26th October 2018.

The Bid Guidelines document outlines the specification of minimum requirements for the on the water competition and the onshore facilities, and sets out the rights and responsibilities of each party in hosting the event. The Bidding Form is a check list of minimum information required to be supplied by the host.
