RYANI Launch Annual Awards 2018
The countdown has begun to RYANI's annual
awards, which recognise and celebrate the contributions and achievements made
over the last year by clubs, teams and individuals across Northern Ireland.
RYANI Awards aim to promote the
good work carried out by our clubs and individuals during 2018, and to reward the
hard work carried out in our clubs or more generally in the development of our
- RYA Northern Ireland Annual
Awards are in association with Sunsail for the first time this year and we are
excited to have them on board.
This year is also the first time that the
RYA Northern Ireland Club of the Year Award winner will automatically qualify
as the NI representative for the RYA National Final. All 12 finalist clubs will go through to a
public vote with the overall winner selected by RYA members, Yachts &
Yachting readers and the Panel. The winner will be announced at the RYA Dinghy
Show in March 2019.
James Ogg, RYANI Development Committee
Chair, comments: “The RYANI Annual Awards continue to grow with nominations
coming in from Clubs and Organisations across Northern Ireland. Acknowledging the ongoing work and
achievement of individuals is essential to our sport and without this network
of support, activity would not happen.”
RYANI’s Regional Development Officer Gordon
Reid added: "If you know of a volunteer or boater who has gone above and
beyond to excel in their field, promote our sport and activities and deserve
recognition, please ensure they are nominated through your club or centre.”
