RYA and British Sailing Team Sport Scientist Tim Jones takes you through a series of exercises to prepare your body for sailing.
In this, the first Sailing Fitness video, Tim concentrates on the warm up.
"By properly warming up before getting out on the water you can reduce your chances of injury and improve your performance," explains Tim.
Tim demonstrates each of the exercises in turn, explaining how to do them, how many to do and what they are good for. In this video all the exercises focus around mobility, mobilising the joints and warming up; from shoulder shrugs and arm circles to squats and push ups.
