With 11 teams out on Queen Mother Reservoir this was the largest the competition has ever been.

The weather was favourable on Saturday with strong winds allowing nearly 30 races to be completed. Sadly, through Sunday the wind built too much, and the remainder of the day was abandoned. Despite this all the competitors finished their races and had an amazing time.

Badger organiser Niall said: “It was fantastic to see so many boats on the water and so many first year and beginner sailors in the teams. We can’t wait to have them back next year!”.

Congratulations go to Magdalen College School, Bournemouth and Reading University for coming first, second and third place respectively. A huge thank you goes to William Bowles, Charles Hall-Thompson, Tristan Becket and Richard Stanley who all did a fantastic job as race officials and carried on despite the cold weather.
